Peego Privacy Policy

Welcome to Peego (“we”, “us”, or “our”)—the AI-powered application that transforms your photos into personalized text content (such as diaries, stories, and poems). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use Peego. A core principle of Peego is respect for your privacy: we do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide personal identifying information (like your name, email, or phone number) to access or use our core features. By downloading, accessing, or using Peego, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Since Peego operates without account registration, we intentionally avoid collecting unnecessary personal data. We will never gather or store the following types of information, unless you explicitly choose to share them (e.g., for support purposes):

2. Information We Collect (and Why)

We only collect information that is strictly necessary to provide, improve, and secure Peego’s photo-to-text service. All collected data is tied to your use of the app (not to your personal identity) and is used exclusively to enhance your experience. The types of information we collect include:

2.1 Uploaded Photos

When you use Peego, you will upload photos from your device’s gallery or capture new photos directly within the app. These photos are collected solely to enable our AI to analyze visual elements (e.g., colors, objects, scenes, and subtle details like a half-eaten sandwich or a sunset’s glow) and generate personalized text content that matches your selected style (e.g., diary, story) and word count. We do not use your photos for advertising, training external AI models, or any purpose unrelated to providing the text generation service you request.

2.2 Usage Data (Non-Identifiable)

We collect limited, non-identifiable data about how you interact with Peego to optimize the app’s performance and tailor features to user needs. This data cannot be linked to you as an individual and includes:

2.3 Support Communications (If You Contact Us)

If you reach out to us for help (e.g., to report a bug, ask a question, or share feedback), we may collect the information you provide in your message—such as details about the issue you’re facing, screenshots you send (if any), or the email address you use to contact us (only if you include it). This information is used exclusively to respond to your request, resolve your problem, and make improvements to Peego based on your feedback. We do not store this communication data longer than necessary to address your inquiry.

3. How We Use Your Information

Every piece of information we collect is used for a specific, app-related purpose—and never for unrelated activities like targeted advertising. Here’s how we use your data:

We will never sell, rent, trade, or share your information with third parties for marketing, advertising, or data brokerage purposes. The only time we may share data with external parties is if we work with trusted service providers who help us operate Peego (e.g., a secure cloud storage provider to temporarily host your photos during text generation). These providers are contractually required to protect your data, use it only for the purposes we specify, and never share it with others.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Information

We take the security of your data seriously and use industry-standard measures to keep it safe from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse:

4.1 Storage of Uploaded Photos

Your uploaded photos are stored temporarily on our secure, encrypted servers—only for as long as needed to generate the text content. Once the AI has created your personalized text and made it available to you (e.g., displayed in the app for you to save or share), we automatically delete the photos from our servers within 24–48 hours. If you choose to save the photos within Peego’s in-app gallery, they are stored locally on your device (not on our servers) and are under your control (you can delete them anytime from your device’s storage).

4.2 Storage of Usage Data

Non-identifiable usage data (e.g., style preferences, device type) is stored on our encrypted servers for a limited period—usually 6–12 months. After this time, the data is either anonymized (stripped of any details that could link it to a specific app session) or deleted. We retain this data only long enough to analyze trends, fix issues, and improve Peego’s features.

4.3 Security Measures

To protect your data, we use the following security practices:

While we take every reasonable step to secure your data, no online service is 100% immune to risks. You can help protect your information by keeping your device secure (e.g., using a passcode or biometric lock, updating your operating system regularly) and not sharing access to Peego with others who should not use your device.

5. Your Control Over Your Information

We believe you should have full control over the data you share with Peego. Here’s how you can manage, access, or delete your information:

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Peego’s features, data practices, or legal requirements (e.g., new laws governing app privacy). When we make changes, we will notify you in one of the following ways:

Your continued use of Peego after the updated Privacy Policy takes effect means you accept the changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically (you can find it in the app’s “Settings” > “Privacy Policy” section) to stay informed about how we protect your data. The date of the latest update will always be listed at the bottom of this policy.
